RCHN and Android

RCHN and Android

Recently I found myself talking with some listeners that opened my eyes to the fact that unless you happen to be an Itunes user the show can be a little tricky to find.  We did a bit of checking around and found a few apps that will work, but first let me explain how it all works. You might have a solution already that you might not be aware of.

RCHN V 2.0 is released to all “pod-catchers” (pod-catcher is a general term that includes any application that is used to catch or retrieve from the internet a podcast of your choosing). Our show is released to all pod-catchers via Feedburner RSS feed that we have set up here on our web page.  Basically, Feedburner is nothing more than one of many distribution applications out there that all pod-catchers communicate with automatically.  It can almost be considered an open source Itunes to some extent.

How do I get your show then?

First thing you need to do is make sure you have some kind of app for your android device.  As I mentioned above, we did a bit of checking and it seems that BeyondPod is the most popular pod-catcher available and best of all its free!  If you do some checking, you might find another app for your android device that you find easier or have more features that you are looking for.

If you already happen to have an app for your android device, all you need to do is search for us. If you search RCHN V2, you might have better luck finding us.  That being said, I have been able to find our show on random pod-catchers by typing in RC Heli Nation.

I hope this helps all of our friends out there that prefer Android devices.
