Some of you have had issues with the V4 HobbyWing ESCs not properly outputting the RPM signal to your FBL systems. This can cause all sorts of issues to errors in the governor logs, hunting head speed, tail twitching, and lack of spool-up all together. This problem was most prevalent when being used with the older full size VBars and MiniVs. Â HobbyWing is looking into a permanent fix to this problem, but in the mean time I’ve found a great fix that seems to solve this issue.
What you’ll need to purchase is a Scorpion OptoCable. This opto-coupler will provide your FBL system with a signal that it should be happy with. Here’s a short video of how to wire that OptoCable in.
