As you all know Dan was banned from Helifreak which still doesn’t settle well with me btw. Apparently after certain individuals of the HF staff listened to Episode#60 then I was banned as well. Same scenario…. no message, no given reason, no email, and no posts. Oh well, it is what it is. I’m pretty disappointed at the actions of the Helifreak staff but am certainly not going to put any more thought into it than I have already. It’s water under the bridge at this point and I’ll move forward and certainly not look back.
The weather was pretty rough all week but luckily we got an amazing break on Saturday. I got a total of 13 flights in I think. I recently made some nice discoveries in the tuning on the SK540 in the Fusion and applied those settings to the 700e with superb results. Unfortunately, I was a couple flights into doing the same thing on the 700n when a muffler bolt decided it wanted to land before I did and made a quick detour through the main blades on it’s way to the ground. Honestly I’m not that broken hearted about it because I can’t stand two piece mufflers and a new one was on the list of wants anyway.
Jessie got in a whole bunch of flights on the iKon which was great to get going on. It’s looking like a promising unit without question and I can’t wait for his conclusion.
With all the time off for Thanksgiving I wish I could have got out to fly more but I’ll certainly take what I can get. The weather is only going to get colder and colder so I think I’ll just be happy I got out when I did 🙂
